- The Windrock Park trail-system has a zero-tolerance alcohol policy in place. If caught with alcohol on the trail-system, you will be asked to leave.
- Don’t get lost! We have a map for that. See FAQ below!
- Protect your eyes and don’t eat the bugs. Consider sunglasses, goggles and gaiters.

Windrock’s trail system is open 24/7, 365! That’s right, the trail system is never closed. The trail system varies from mild to wild! There are 4 trail classifications: easy, moderate, difficult and extremely difficult. What does that mean, you ask?
- EASY: Hit those gravel roads for a fun, scenic drive.
- MODERATE: Some dirt, some rocks and some ruts make these trails a bit more exciting.
- DIFFICULT: Step it up. It’s all the above and more dirt, more rocks and more ruts!
- EXTREMELY DIFFICULT: You sure about this? Boulders and cliffs and questions…OH MY!
We have an app for that! The Windrock Park map app is GPS navigational and highlights points of interest on the trail system. Paper maps are also available if cartography is your game. Our trails are color coded on both the park paper map and the map app. Both options are the most up to date maps available of our trail system.
If you’re staying with us, you can ride directly from your cabin or campsite to the trail head. If you are coming for the day, there is plenty of parking at the trail head located near the General Store. If you happen to find that lot is full, additional parking is available nearby on Hoskins Gap Road.
Sure, you can! If it can go off-road, it is welcome! Dirt bikes, mountain bikes, ATVs, SxSs and full-size vehicles like trucks or Jeeps are welcome!
We have SxS rentals available at the General Store. Reservations are recommended for the ride of your choice. We are part of Destination Yamaha whose machines are jam packed with durability and capability for our trail system! The rental fleet includes 2-seaters, 3-seaters and 4-seaters.

All renters and drivers MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OR OLDER with a valid driver’s license.
There is more! At the trail head, we have our General Store where you can pick up souvenirs, snacks, permits and rentals. There is also a large patio with seasonal music and food trucks.
